Our latest quilt, Estrella!

This quilt was conceived from Valori Well's fabric line, Estrella and designed and made by both of us. Estrella is Valori's latest fabric range and was inspired by the humble zinnia, a favourite with many Australian gardners. Sarah traced over the outline of the large flower on the feature print, enlarged it and then used it for her applique template. We chose to use this method, combined with machine applique, Pigma pen detailing and curved piecing. The project is being published in two parts. Part one is out now in Australian Quilters Companion (Vol 19). With all the details and pattern to get started, with all the final details in the following volume. (Vol 20).
